Iran is spreading its tentacles throughout the Middle East and appears to have gained a physical presence on Israel’s northern border as well as in Judea and Samaria.
Have the Iranian military forces arrived at Israel’s northern borders? Tweets by Iran’s security forces brag that they have indeed, and that they are operating freely in Lebanon.
MEMRI (Middle East Media Research Institute) reports that an account affiliated with Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) tweeted on Thursday that IRGC soldiers have arrived at Israel’s northern border with Lebanon.
The tweet, saying that “IRGC soldiers of the Islamic Republic are at the border of occupied Palestine,” included photos of soldiers with faces obscured.
An earlier blog affiliated with the Iranian army published the same photos with the soldiers’ faces unobscured, along with several other photos, noting that they were taken in southern Lebanon in the Beqaa and Baalbeq region.
The photos were accompanied by the ominous threat: “We are arriving… near the Mother of Corruption, the accursed Israel; soon we will pass over their bodies, Allah willing,” MEMRI reports.
The photos were recently taken, as the date imprint, October 24, 2014, can be seen on them.
MEMRI points out that the Lebanese daily Al-Akhbar, which is affiliated with Hezbollah, reported on October 8, 2014, that Hezbollah fighters were again operating in the region south of the Litani River, in violation of UN Security Council Resolution 1701.
Iran Operating In Judea and Samaria
Iran is operating not only out of Lebanon, but also in Israel, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu warned on Sunday.
Speaking at the weekly cabinet meeting, Netanyahu said that:
“in recent weeks we have seen a stepped-up Iranian effort to intensify terrorist actions in Judea and Samaria. None other than the Palestinian Authority ambassador in Tehran said that he was enthused by Iranian ruler Khamenei’s instructions to send weapons to the West Bank and he added, and I quote, ‘The Zionist regime is an aggressive cancerous growth which, sooner or later, must be eliminated.’ Now I emphasize, it was not a Hamas man who said this, it was the Palestinian Authority ambassador in Tehran.”
Iran had previously announced that it wished to arm Judea and Samaria as a step towards Israel’s annihilation.
Netanyahu criticized the world for its inaction:
“Now what is the UN doing in response? Instead of dealing with this incitement they are giving it an honored place, the same incitement that has led to the recent terrorist attack [in which an 11-year-old was seriously burned], and they are also moving forward on a unilateral Palestinian proposal to try and pass a decision in the Security Council, the purpose of which is to bring about a forced settlement that would establish here a second Hamastan and would endanger our security.”
Netanyahu further criticized the UN for its bias against Israel, which is manifest in its multiple resolutions against Israel, while Iran’s oppression and Syria’s genocide receive only meager mention. “We will continue to insist on our truth and we will also continue to vigorously rebuff attempts to force terms on us that would endanger our security and our future. We expect national unity on this national issue,” Netanyahu declared.

Sign the Petition to Stop a Nuclear Iran
The US Congress must ensure that sanctions against Iran remain in force until the nuclear threat is completely eliminated.
I strongly oppose easing sanctions before the nuclear threat from Iran has been eliminated. Allowing Iran to enrich uranium without being subject to 'anytime, anywhere' inspections is extremely dangerous and unacceptable. Iran's nuclear program must be stopped.
