Hours before the possible signing of a nuclear deal with the US-led P5+1, Iran reminds the world of its real intent – the destruction of Israel.
Just hours before the deadline for the signing of an agreement between the Islamic Republic and the P5+1 powers regarding Iran’s nuclear aspirations, the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) stated that the annihilation of the State of Israel is one of the regime’s main objectives.
“The issue of Palestine and pursuing the strategy of destruction of Israel are the Muslim world’s overriding priorities,” the IRGC said in a statement ahead of the Iranian anti-Israel Quds Day.
The statement, issued on Wednesday, called on the people of Iran and other Muslim countries to attend mass rallies on Friday “in support of Palestine,” Iran’s Tasnim news agency reports.

It also slammed the “Zionist regime,” Israel, as “the common enemy of the Islamic nations,” saying the “strategy to destroy that regime is Muslims’ first priority.”
Quds Day signifies the “strategic depth of the logic of resistance and the fight against tyranny in the world,” the statement added.
It also threatened what it said was Israel’s “fragile security,” stressing that the “Tel Aviv regime” has no control over its security anymore.
Millions of people in Iran are expected to attend anti-Israel rallies on Friday to show their solidarity with the so-called “Palestinian people and the cause of Palestine.” The event’s overarching theme is the denunciation of Israel.
The day is considered the legacy of the late founder of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini, who officially declared the last Friday of the Muslim month of Ramadan as International Quds Day back in 1979.
