Israel extended its assistance in the joint war with England against Islamic terrorism.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Wednesday spoke by phone with British Prime Minister Theresa May and expressed the condolences of the Israeli people to the citizens of Great Britain in wake of the Islamic terrorist attack in Manchester, which killed 22, many of them children, and wounded 59 at an Ariana Grande concert.

Netanyahu said Israel “was ready to extend all necessary assistance to the joint war against terrorism.”

The official threat level in Britain was raised to its highest point after the attack.

Speaking to IDF Radio on Wednesday, Israeli Defense Minister Avigdor Liberman said Israel and Britain enjoy close intelligence cooperation, and Israel offered its assistance following the attack.

Earlier in the week, President Reuven Rivlin dispatched a condolence letter to the UK’s Queen Elizabeth II.

“I write with deep sorrow and anguish to express my own heartfelt condolences, and those of all the Israeli people, following the atrocious terror attack against the people of Manchester last night,” Rivlin wrote in the missive on Tuesday.

“This violent and evil attack, which destroyed so many young lives, demands unequivocal condemnation by all. The whole world must stand united against this threat to our very civilization. I wish to reassure you that Israel stands with the United Kingdom in the fight against terrorism,” he wrote.

“Our deepest sympathies go to all the bereaved, and our wishes for a full and swift recovery to all the injured,” he concluded.
