According to a recent study by ZeroBounce, Israel ranked fourth in the world in the advancement of AI Technology.

The ten countries ranked in order included the United States, China, the United Kingdom, Israel, Canada, Germany, India, France, South Korea, and Singapore.

ZeroBounce’s metrics for the study included private investment in AI technology, the number of startups related to AI technology, and the extent of AI involvement in the workforce, as shown by job listings and other criteria.

Israel was among the top five countries in the world in AI advancement, with $12.83 billion spent on AI technology, 442 AI-related startups, and the highest proportion of AI talent compared to the total workforce, at 1.13%.

It should be noted that Israel is the smallest country listed in the top five.

The US had $335,2 billion in private investments in the last decade, 5,500 startups related to AI, and 71,000 job vacancies.

China was in second place but had triple the US investments in AI at $103.5 billion, with 0.64% of the workforce involved in AI.

The United Kingdom saw  $22.2 billion in AI investments 2024, with 727 AI startups.

Canada came in a close fifth behind Israel, with $10.35 billion in private investments and 1.05% of the workplace skilled in AI.

Germany was rated sixth with a $10.35 billion investment in AI.

India, in 7th place, raised  $9.85 billion.

In 8th place, France saw $8.31 billion in investments in AI technology.

South Korea ranked ninth, with $7.25 billion invested in AI.

Singapore was in 10th place with an investment of $6.25 billion.

Israel’s advancement in AI technology has been supported partly by the Israeli National AI Program.

Among the sponsored projects is one backed by the Ministry of Innovation, Science, and Technology, in collaboration with the Israel National Digital Agency. It involves a pilot to implement Artificial Intelligence in 9 government entities.

Minister of Innovation, Science, and Technology Gila Gamliel comments, “The AI revolution will not skip any citizen, and we are committed to ensuring that every citizen in the State of Israel can benefit from this progress. Artificial intelligence is a groundbreaking technology with the potential to significantly enhance governmental services for the citizens of Israel.”
