“For Hezbollah, fuel is not merely a commercial product,” the ministry said.

Defense Minister Israel Katz imposed sanctions on UK-registered energy company Coral Oil after Israeli authorities determined that it supplied approximately 130,000 liters of fuel products to a Hezbollah-owned company.
The sanctions were imposed through the Defense Ministry’s National Bureau for Counter Terror Financing following an investigation into Coral Oil’s dealings with Al-Amana, a fuel company owned by Hezbollah that Israel designated as a terrorist organization in 2020.
According to the Defense Ministry, Coral Oil supplied approximately 130,000 liters of diesel and gasoline to Al-Amana, providing Hezbollah with a resource used to support its operational and logistical infrastructure.
“For Hezbollah, fuel is not merely a commercial product,” the ministry said.
The terror group uses fuel to transport weapons and military components, operate generators and other infrastructure, and support its underground network, according to the ministry.
The Defense Ministry said the sanctions expose another link in Hezbollah’s economic supply chain, targeting not only entities directly controlled by the terror group but also commercial companies that provide resources enabling it to operate.
While Coral Oil is registered in the United Kingdom, Israeli authorities said the company is owned by Lebanon-based A. Yamin Group S.A.L. (Holding), with its business operations conducted through its Lebanese branch.
The company is part of a broader business network connected to the Yamin family.
Brothers Oscar, Antonio and Edgar Yamin have served as directors of Coral Oil since January 2017, according to documents cited by the Defense Ministry.
Group documents identify Oscar Yamin as chairman and CEO, Antonio Yamin as responsible for financial strategy and Edgar Yamin as overseeing operations and supplier relations.
Until November 2025, Coral Oil was directly owned by Fortuna, a company registered on the Isle of Man, while its ultimate parent company was Lebanon’s A. Yamin Group. Ownership was subsequently transferred directly to A. Yamin Group S.A.L. (Holding) in Lebanon.
Israeli authorities said company documents reveal a broader network of related businesses and international commercial relationships involving hundreds of millions of dollars, with the Yamin family at the center of the structure.
The sanction is part of a wider Israeli campaign to disrupt Hezbollah’s financial, commercial and logistical networks rather than limiting pressure to individuals and entities formally identified as part of the terrorist organization.
In Coral Oil’s case, the Defense Ministry said a legitimate commercial commodity was supplied to a Hezbollah-owned company and ultimately helped provide the terror group with the operational capabilities needed to sustain its activities.
The sanctions are intended to sever the connection between commercial businesses and the logistical infrastructure Hezbollah relies on to operate its terrorist network.
