Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is currently in the U.S., and today he addressed the 2014 American Israel Policy Affairs Committee-AIPAC Policy Conference. The Israeli leader reiterated his warning about the danger of a nuclear Iran, demanded Palestinian recognition of the Jewish state and declared that he “will never gamble” with security.”

Visiting the U.S. capital, Israeli leader Benjamin Netanyahu addressed the 2014 AIPAC Policy Conference on Tuesday, vigorously and eloquently stating the case for Israel. Following are key statements from the speech:

“Greetings from Jerusalem – the eternal, undivided capital of the State of Israel.”

“President Abbas, recognize the Jewish state, and in doing so you would be telling your people that while we might have a territorial dispute, the right of the Jewish people to a state of their own is beyond dispute.”

“I hope the Palestinian leadership will stand with Israel and the United States on the right side of the moral divide, the side of peace, reconciliation and hope.”

“I’ve come here to draw a clear line. The line between life and death, right and wrong, between the blessings of a brilliant future and the curses of a dark past.”

“In a Middle East bludgeoned by barbarism, Israel is humane, Israel is compassionate, Israel is a force for good.”

“The only things Iran sends abroad are rockets… and terrorism, to maim and kill innocent people.”

“BDS [Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions] stands for Bigotry, Dishonesty and Shame.”

Quoting Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah: “Iran and Hezbollah love death, and Israel loves life. And that’s why Iran and Hezbollah will win, and Israel will lose.”

“He’s right about the first point, but he is dead wrong about the second point. It is precisely because we love life that Israel shall win.”

“Iran continues to stand on the wrong side of the moral divide, and that is why we must stand, unequivocally, on the right side of that divide.”

“When you see Iran building ICBMs (Inter-Continental Ballistic Missiles), just remember America: That’s Scuds for you!”

“Letting the worst terrorist regime on the planet to get atomic bombs would endanger the world.”

“Seventy years ago the Jewish people were left for dead, bbut we came back to life. We will never be brought to the brink of extinction again.”

“Greater pressure on Iran will not make war more likely, it will make war less likely.”

“I will never gamble with the security of the one and only Jewish state.”

“It’s time the Palestinians stop denying history.”

Recognize the Jewish state – no excuses. It’s time!”
