Israeli police apprehended a group of Jerusalem Arabs who, self-admittedly motivated by anti-Semitism, brutally assaulted Jewish Israelis on repeated occasions.

A gang of seven Arabs from Jerusalem was arrested for assaulting Israelis over the course of the past month, the police announced on Tuesday.

The group, which included three minors, assaulted Israelis on several occasions at the Armon Hanatziv boardwalk, which overlooks the Old City.

In three incidents Israeli couples were attacked, and in another case an individual was attacked while jogging.

Some beatings occurred after Friday prayers during the Muslim month of Ramadan.

The group, armed with brass knuckles and a knife, assaulted a couple, causing the man to lose consciousness. In another attack they were armed with clubs.

The assailants caused significant bodily damage, the police stressed.

During questioning, the terrorists admitted that they were motivated by hatred of Jews and committed the aggression in response to what they claimed was theft of Palestinian lands by Israel.

Jerusalem District Police Commander Moshe Edri tasked a special force with tracking down the terrorists.

“These are severe incidents of assault against civilians who wished to enjoy themselves. Jerusalem police’s decisive and professional action has brought to the suspects’ quick arrest,” stated Edri. He vowed to operate uncompromisingly against any attempt to hinder public safety.

The Armon Hanatziv neighborhood, which is adjacent to predominantly Arab residential areas, has been the scene of several terror attacks in the past. Arabs terrorists simply cross the street from their homes and attack Israelis.

In December 2014, Arab terrorists threw a firebomb at an Israeli home. No injuries or damage were caused. Two months earlier, a firebomb was tossed at the house.

The home owner said that the building had been targeted several times by rock-throwers from the Jerusalem neighborhood of Jabel Mukaber, a terrorist stronghold adjacent to Armon Hanatziv..

Petition to the United States and European Union

We demand that all funding of the PA be stopped immediately. The brutal murder of Israelis committed by Palestinian terrorists throughout Israel is the latest result of ongoing PA incitement against Israeli citizens. Funding the PA means funding terror.
