Responding defiantly to ongoing Palestinian terrorism and to the death of terror victim Genadi Kaufman, a Jewish resident of Hebron, Netanyahu declared Israel will not be deterred and will always maintain a presence in Hebron, as Jews have done almost continuously for 4,000 years.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu responded to the death of terror victim Genadi Kaufman who was stabbed in Hebron three weeks ago and died of his wounds Wednesday morning, saying Israel will stay in Hebron “forever” and will not be defeated.

“I wish to send my condolences to the family of Genadi Kaufman. Genadi was a gardener at the Tomb of the Patriarchs. He was stabbed in a murderous attack a few weeks ago. Unfortunately, he did not recover,” Netanyahu said at the beginning of Wednesday’s Cabinet meeting.

“This morning as well, I say to all those who would uproot us from the Tomb of the Patriarchs – except for a few years in the previous century, we have been there for almost 4,000 years and we will stay there forever. You cannot defeat us.”

Kaufman sustained critical stab wounds in his heart, lungs, stomach and other organs after he was attacked by a Palestinian outside the Tomb of the Patriarchs on December 7.

He is the 24th victim to be murdered in the three-month-long wave of almost-daily Palestinian terror attacks, which have also wounded over 285.

He is survived by a wife and two children.
