Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his wife Sara sent their wishes for a speedy recovery to First Lady Melania Trump after she had undergone an operation.

“Sara and I send FLOTUS Melania Trump our warmest wishes for a full and speedy recovery,” Netanyahu tweeted Monday.

Trump was expected to remain hospitalized for the rest of the week following a “long-planned” procedure to treat a benign kidney condition, White House officials said.

Trump, 48, had an embolization procedure Monday morning at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center outside Washington, her staff said.

President Donald Trump visited her later Monday and tweeted that the procedure was “successful” and that his wife was in “good spirits.”

The White House did not offer any additional details on Mrs. Trump’s condition, though Vice President Mike Pence described the procedure as “long planned” as he opened a speech at a Monday evening event celebrating Israel’s independence. “Melania is already on the mend,” Pence said.

In the Senate, Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) sent well wishes for “a speedy recovery to the first lady.”

The Slovenia-born former model married Trump in 2005. They have a 12-year-old son named Barron.
