NYC’s Dyke March has announced a full ban on “Zionists” from its upcoming pride parade.

“We are committed to the community’s values against Zionism, racism and anti-LGBTQ hatred,” proclaimed march organizers on Instagram.

Dyke leadership initially acknowledged “senseless loss of life” after Hamas’ Oct. 7 massacre, but quickly deleted that statement after member backlash, replacing it with “unapologetic” support for Palestinians and insisting “anti-Zionism is not antisemitism.”

“You cannot exclude the majority of Jews and call yourself inclusive,” fired back the Anti Defamation League on X.

Scheduled for June 28, organizers are going with the same theme as last year when participants rallied under the banner “Dykes Against Genocide.”

“In recognition of the ongoing violence faced by millions of persons across this world and of what our community has experienced this last year, we, the New York City Dyke March (NYCDM), are proud to stand against ethnic cleansing, violence, and dehumanization, and shed light on the multiple atrocities that are happening concurrently,” the group writes.

At the time Prime Minister Netanyahu mockingly compared their slogan to “chickens for KFC,” highlighting the irony of LGBTQ individuals supporting regimes known for persecuting gay people.

Israel recognizes same-sex marriages and hosts massive pride parades annually, while homosexuality remains criminalized throughout Palestinian territories and much of the Middle East.
