Rabbi Shlomo Katz, who was minutes away from the disaster at Mount Meron this week, told CNN the nation will come together in the face of this tragedy.

Israel is reeling from the loss of 45 victims who perished during a crush at Mount Meron during Lag B’Omer celebrations this week.

Rabbi Shlomo Katz spoke with CNN on Friday, commenting, “We are one big family.”

The popular singer and spiritual leader summed up the mood in Israel, commenting that it is nearly impossible to “process” the grief people are feeling, but adding that the Jewish people are coming together to face the tragedy.
