A father and two of his children were hiking at a fresh water spring in Samaria during an August weekend when a bomb exploded, killing 17-year-old Rina Shnerb and wounding a brother and the father.

According to a survey released by the Palestinian Center for Policy and Survey Research (PSR), 61% of Palestinian Arabs approved of that terrorist bombing on an innocent Israeli family ‘guilty’ of touring the Biblical Land of Israel. The breakdown included 49% of Palestinians who live in Judea and Samaria and 80% of Gazans who supported Rina’s murder.

Among participants in the poll, 37% were said to have favored terrorism, in general, 32% preferred a peace deal, and 10% said the best way forward would be by “waging non-violent resistance.”

The PSR says that 69% of Arabs in Judea, Samaria, and the Gaza Strip want the Palestinian Authority (PA) to reject the Trump administration’s peace plan, 19% said that the self-rule authority should accept it but with reservations, and only 5% called on the PA to unequivocally accept the plan, known as the Deal of the Century.

Just 15% said that they opposed the BDS (boycott, divestment, sanctions) movement against Israel.

The PSR refers to itself as an “independent non-profit institution and think tank of policy analysis and academic research.”

It says that it was founded with the goal of “advancing scholarship and knowledge on immediate issues of concern to Palestinians in three areas: domestic politics and government, strategic analysis and foreign policy, and public opinion polls and survey research.”

Among other issues raised in this survey, said to have been conducted between September 11th and the 14th, polling 1,200 adults in Judea, Samaria, and Gaza in face-to-face interviews, was the level of support for a two-state solution – the establishment of a state called Palestine living in peace alongside Israel.

The PSR says that support for the two-state solution has generally declined among PA residents, and that in the latest poll, only 42% said that they would back it, compared to 56% who opposed the two-state solution.

Only 34% voiced the belief that the concept is even viable, while 63% said that a two-state solution is not practical, said PSR.
