Palestinian Terrorist Stabs Israeli, Killed by IDF After Manhunt

The terrorist’s knife reportedly broke during the assault, preventing him from continuing the attack.

A Palestinian terrorist carried out a stabbing attack in Samaria on Monday morning, seriously wounding a young Israeli man before fleeing and being killed by IDF troops about an hour later.

The attack took place near the Palestinian village of Usarin in the Samaria Brigade’s area of operations.

According to the victim’s account, the terrorist arrived at a nearby farm in a commercial vehicle and approached him before asking where his weapon was.

The terrorist then exited the vehicle armed with a knife, attacked the Israeli and stabbed him multiple times before fleeing.

The victim, a man in his 20s, suffered penetrating wounds to his back, head and chest. Magen David Adom paramedics, working alongside an IDF medical team, treated him at the scene before evacuating him to Beilinson Hospital in serious condition. He remained conscious following the attack.

Large numbers of IDF troops were deployed to the area following the stabbing, setting up roadblocks and surrounding nearby villages as they launched a manhunt for the attacker.

About an hour after the attack, IDF troops located the terrorist near his vehicle in the area of the village of Idhna.

According to the IDF, the terrorist attempted to stab the soldiers when they confronted him. A company commander from the 411th Battalion opened fire, killing him.

“The IDF will continue to operate to thwart terrorism and maintain security in the Judea and Samaria region,” the military said.
