A beauty pageant launched on a Russian social media network is searching for Miss Hitler 2014. The prizes are jewelry with Nazi symbols.

A Russian and Ukrainian Neo-Nazi group named “Adolf Hitler” has launched a beauty pageant on the VKontakte social media network, the Russian equivalent of Facebook, which is aimed at finding a candidate who adheres the most to Nazi requirements and ideology, Vocativ reports.

The contest is officially called “Miss Ostland,” named after the regions in Eastern Europe that fell under Nazi occupation during World War II and in which over a million Jews were murdered.

Women were asked to post their photos to the page, which has more than 7,000 followers, and to explain why they believe they are right for the category, showing that they “love and revere the Third Reich of Adolf Hitler.” The woman whose picture receives the most likes will be declared the winner. Only group members may vote.

So far, at least 14 women have joined the race for the dubious title.

Meet the Candidates

Katya Shkredova of Mogilev, Belarus, posted her picture and entered the contest. She “adores Adolf” for his philosophy on the “ideal society.” What she loves most about him is his will to “experiment on people.” Shkredova’s picture has 37 likes so far.

Irina Nagrebetskaya is from Kiev, Ukraine. When she’s not working, she likes to listen to goth metal and post Adolf Hitler quotes to her social media accounts. She wrote this caption to her photo: “Don’t forget! Adolf is his name, he’s our eternal race, he has been given eternal life.” She has 38 likes.

Alina Voronina says she became infatuated with Hitler and the Third Reich when she studied the history of the Second World War. Since then, she claims, she has been focused on Holocaust history revisionism.

Ekaterina Matveeva of St. Petersburg stated in her entry that “Adolf Hitler’s position is genius and true, that races are different not only in appearance, but also in intelligence.”

A Tool for Spreading Hate

Vocativ further reports that the VKontakte social media network is regularly used for the spread of anti-Semitism. There are several other such groups dedicated to Hitler and his racist ideology.
