Seven Israeli Arab residents of northern Israel were indicted at the Nazareth District Court on Thursday for establishing an Islamic State (ISIS) terror cell in northern Israel.

Israeli security discovered an ISIS terror cell in northern Israel, where seven residents were planning an attack on the IDF.

The accused had “created an Islamic State cell with the intention of carrying out terror attacks,” the Shin Bet (Israel’s Security Agency) stated.

One of the defendants, Nazareth resident Ahmed Ahmad, 26, is already serving a life sentence for assisting in the coordination of an Islamic terror attack in 2009 that claimed the life of Jewish Israeli taxi driver Yafim Weinstein.

Ahmed Mahagna (20) of Yafia, an Arab village in the Lower Galilee; Mohammad Sharif (22) of Nazareth and Mohammad Ghazali (23) of Yafia were charged with working with ISIS to attack Israeli military targets, according to the indictment.

The others are: Ibrahim Aljawabra (35) and his brother Ali (32) of Fureidis, an Arab village in the Haifa District; and Baha Aldin Naaran, 22 of Yafia.
