On Wednesday late afternoon, two separate rock-throwing attacks against Jewish drivers occurred within 15 minutes of each other in the Hebron area of Judea and Samaria.

In the first case, the driver was not injured. He drove to an army base to report the incident.

The second driver sustained mild head injuries and was treated by an army medical team in the area. He felt fortunate, as it was the same type of attack that occurred in September 2011 – only a few kilometers away – that killed Asher Palmer, 24, and his infant son Yonatan.

The rock-throwing had caused Palmer to lose control of the vehicle; initially, police thought it was a road accident but later confirmed that it was a terror attack beyond any doubt.

An Israeli court, in a session on the Palmer case, determined that rocks constitute a deadly weapon.

Several hours before the attacks on Wednesday, at approximately 11 in the morning, rock-throwers attacked two buses – a tour bus and a public-transportation bus. The windows were smashed windows, but no one was injured.

These rock-throwing attacks are frequent but generally go unreported unless the injuries are serious or fatal, a medic on the scene told United with Israel.
