Tourists in Argentina Endure Three-Hour Anti-Semitic Attack

The day after a prosecutor in Argentina seeking justice for Jewish terror victims was found dead, Israeli tourists endured three hours of violence by Jew-haters.

On Monday, 10 tourists suffered three hours of terror at a hostel in Argentina known for hosting Israelis.

Three criminals robbed and beat the Israeli visitors between 1 and 4 a.m. at the Onda Hazul hostel in Lago Puelo in the country’s south.

“It was a terrifying moment, several hours of fear,” hostel owner Sergio Polak told the local media, the Jerusalem Post reports, adding that the assailants were shouting anti-Semitic curses.

Monica Sasso, the area delegate for the National Institute Against Discrimination, confirmed to reporters that the attack took several hours, according to the Post.

The Guardian reports that the attack “comes amid a growing hate campaign against Israeli tourists, who are described as Israeli soldiers by anti-Semitic groups in Patagonia. Authorities are increasingly concerned about the appearance of posters calling for a boycott of ‘Israeli military tourism’ in the region.”

Three out of six policemen who arrived on the scene within the first hour of the attack were hospitalized with serious head injuries, the Guardian reports, adding that the other officers also left the premises, unable to bring the situation under control.
