He achieved significant success on the hip-hop charts, touring the US with his music on regular rotation on MTV.
Despite his success, his home life was a terrible mess. His parents sold and used drugs, and he lost both of them far too early.
Rather than let his life collapse, Black went in search of truth and wound up completely transforming himself and his family.
