Roni Eshel was as an IDF lookout soldier at the Nahal Oz base who was killed by Hamas terrorists on October 7th.

Roni’s aunt Tair Kowalsky told i24  how they had heard nothing from or about Roni for many days after the October 7th attack and said, “Our only thought was to find Roni.”

She said it took 35 days to recognize “something biological could say what happened to our sweet girl.”

In the weeks before the October 7th invasion, Roni was one of many lookouts who noticed suspicious activity at the border but was told by her commander not to worry about it.
