This video is a social experiment in which a Christian man dons a cross and walks the streets of Israel, waiting to see what kind of a reaction it will bring, if any.
In February 2015 a man put on a kippah (skullcap) and tzitzit (religious Jewish garb) and was filmed walking around Paris for 10 hours. He endured a tremendous amount of verbal abuse and threats on his life. This follow-up video shows a Christian man wearing a cross and walking the streets of Haifa, recording peoples’ reactions – or lack of reactions.
It is very common to see people of all faiths walking the streets in Israel, especially in Jerusalem and Tel Aviv. In fact, it’s so common that people do not even notice. So when a man wears a large cross around his neck for anyone to see, he gets no reaction – at least not in areas under Israeli control.
Get ready for a video that exemplifies the way it should be. Religious and cultural tolerance. Freedom and peace.
