CNN anchor Christiane Amanpour apologized for comments made last week in which she compared the Trump era to the horrific Nazi regime in Germany.

After a huge outcry from Israel, officials in the American administration, and Jewish groups, CNN host Christiane Amanpour apologized Monday for her comparing the Trump era to Nazi Germany, a regime that committed horrific atrocities .

“I should not have juxtaposed the two thoughts. Hitler and his evils stand alone, of course, in history. I regret any pain my statement may have caused,” the veteran anchorwoman stated.

Statements that trivialize or belittle the murder of 6 million Jews are unacceptable. We are happy to hear Amanpour apologized.
