“To all of the students in the audience today, don’t be afraid to stand up, because you deserve better,” stated pro-Israel activist Adela Cojab, who took legal action against New York University.
Adela Cojab took legal action against NYU six months ago, only two weeks before graduation, resulting in the launch of an investigation against the university for failing to protect its Jewish students from anti-Semitic harassment, including assault.
NYU gave an anti-Israel hate group the highest honor a campus group could achieve, she told the 2019 Israel American Council summit on Saturday evening in Miami, Florida.
Standing beside US President Donald Trump, Cojab, an immigrant from Mexico City, said she was grateful to live in a country where the Office of Civil Rights takes the concerns of Jewish students seriously. She received a standing ovation.
