Apparently, mainstream media cares about journalists’ lives only if they can somehow depict the Jewish state in a negative light.

According to a new report by the Committee to Protect Journalists (CPJ), 2022 was the deadliest year in recent years for media professionals, notes watchdog Honest Reporting.

Ukraine, Mexico, and Haiti accounted for more than half of the 67 fatalities. However, in an attempt to portray Israel as the world’s number one threat to the safety of journalists, the Los Angeles Times and USA Today, among others, used a photo of  late Al-Jazeera reporter Shireen Abu Akleh to illustrate the story.

Other notable mainstream media claimed she was “murdered,” although she was killed in a crossfire between IDF counterterrorism troops and Palestinian terrorists. According to reliable investigations, she was not intentionally targeted.

Meanwhile, as pointed out numerous times by notable Arab commentators, including Khaled Abu Toameh and Bassam Tawil, once a journalist in the Palestinian Authority dares to publish anything offensive to the PA, he or she is put behind bars and tortured.

Outrageous!
