Syrians in the northwestern area of the country celebrated following reports that Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah had been killed in an Israeli airstrike.
Nasrallah had helped prop up Syrian dictator Bashar al-Assad as he works to crush the rebellion threatening his power.
Footage showed Syrians dancing in the streets and distributing sweets over news that the terror leader had been killed.
