Forty-two years ago, Israeli special forces successfully rescued over 100 hostages in Uganda in Operation Entebbe.

It took Israeli commandos 90 minutes to conduct one of the greatest and most daring rescue missions in modern history in Entebbe, Uganda, on July 4, 1976, after an Air France flight was hijacked by terrorists and a group of Jewish passengers was taken hostage.

Ahead of its 42nd anniversary, we remember the miraculous operation and how Israel does everything in its power to take care of its people.
