Watching these brave young Israelis sing “HaTikvah” in Germany, where the Nazis tried to wipe out the Jewish people during the Holocaust, will send shivers up your spine.

As IDF paratroopers completed a rigorous multi-national military exercise in Germany, they sang a spirited rendition of Israel’s national anthem, “HaTikva” (“The Hope”).

The anthem was delivered at the closing of the Allied Spirit X military drill, an exercise in which the U.S. and British armies also participated, among 12 other nations.

Watch as these young Israeli soldiers who participated in the exercise sing the Jewish state’s national anthem in a land where less than a century ago Nazi monsters attempted to exterminate the Jewish people.
