For the first time, Israel has been invited to participate in the biennial Invictus games, an international athletic competition for injured army veterans.

The IDF will participate in the 2020 Invictus games in Germany, an international event for wounded military veterans.

The sporting competition was founded by Prince Harry in 2014, and his invitation to the IDF has infuriated British Muslims, the Daily Mail reported on Sunday.

This year’s games, to which the Israelis were invited only as observers, had been scheduled for May in The Hague but were cancelled due to the coronavirus. The next games will take place in Germany in 2022, and Israel will be participating in the competition.
