The International Judo Federation banned Iran’s team until it promises to stop a long-running boycott of Israel.

Iranian judoka Saeid Mollaie purposely lost a match in August in order not to face an Israeli opponent in the world competitions in Tokyo, thus , forfeiting the championship,.

He did so against his will, based on a rule in the Islamic Republic banning competition between Iranian and Israeli athletes.

The International Judo Federation has now banned Iran’s team until it promises to stop a long-running boycott of Israel.

Enough is enough! Blind hatred doesn’t belong anywhere, and certainly not in sports.
