Two students from Brooklyn College “took a knee” when the Israeli anthem was played prior to a game with an all-Jewish crosstown rival.

Prior to a volleyball match between Yeshiva University and Brooklyn College, two players from the latter team kneeled when the Israeli anthem was played prior to the game.

While the players stood during the American anthem, sportsmanship went out the window once the anthem for the Jewish state was played.

The “taking a knee” maneuver was popularized by ex-NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick, who kneeled during the American national anthem before football games to signal condemnation of law enforcement’s actions with regard to minority communities.
