In a joint operation with the Israeli Navy, IDF Intelligence and the Israeli Security Agency (ISA, aka Shin Bet), the IDF recently thwarted a naval attempt to smuggle weapons into the Gaza Strip from the coast of the northern Sinai recently, the IDF announced Wednesday.
Collaboration between the organizations enabled detection of the vessel. Following a pursuit, the vessel was captured and two terror operatives aboard were apprehended and transferred to the ISA for further questioning.
The investigation indicated that the seized weapons were intended to be used by the Hamas terror organization.
