A popular weekly political satire on Israeli Channel 2 created a mock ISIS entry at the Eurovision Song Contest, which turned out to be a hit.
Though Israel did not emerge victorious in Saturday night’s Eurovision song contest in Stockholm, the country’s most famous TV satirists came up with a winning skit, ostensibly performed by Islamic State terrorists.
The performance – by Eretz Nehederet (A Wonderful Country), a weekly political satire program on Israel’s Channel 2 – is garnering viral attention. with hundreds of thousands of views and lots of laughs on social media.
In English, with Hebrew subtitles, the clip, titled Boomtzi Boom, opens with a French-accented “host” introducing the ISIS medley.
