But for a pair of window washers strapped to the side of a towering building, air raid sirens brought a much more terrifying scenario—they were suspended in midair with no means of escape from the incoming barrage.
Remarkably, instead of panicking, the workers kept their cool, even joking about the situation. Their confidence in Israel’s advanced air defense systems, which have repeatedly intercepted threats, allowed them to face the danger with surprising calm.
