Mount Hermon in Israel welcomed its first snowfall of the season on Monday morning, as temperatures in the northern Golan Heights dipped below freezing.

Despite the picturesque winter scene, the mountain’s ski resort remains off-limits, designated as a closed military zone amid the 14-month conflict with Hezbollah in Lebanon.

The light snow is expected to continue on Mt. Hermon as unseasonably cold weather sets in across cities in the rest of the country
