The winds of change are blowing in the Arab world and this Lebanese minister thinks his country and Syria should follow Dubai’s lead and make peace with Israel.
Former Lebanese minister Sejaan Azzi said in a recent interview that Israel has never had any intention of occupying or annexing Lebanese land contrary to what many Lebanese think.
Azzi cited as an example of Israel’s desire for peace its recent deal with the United Arab Emirates (UAE), which noted shows the Jewish state also wants to make peace with Lebanon and Syria, its neighbors.
He added that even if the terror group Hezbollah won’t disarm, Lebanon can’t live in a state of constant war.
