Jewish American wrestler Amit Elor has made history by winning the gold medal, becoming the youngest American ever to achieve this feat in wrestling.

Amit, whose parents are originally from Israel where many of her relatives still reside, carries a deeply rooted Jewish identity, underscored by the fact that her grandparents are Holocaust survivors.

Upon clinching the gold, Amit proudly displayed a yellow ribbon, which has become a symbol for the hostages held in Gaza. Her gesture draws attention to the plight of innocent Israelis in Gaza, highlighting their ongoing struggle.
