Coexistence is possible! Meet the Israeli who created a new community in Israel for disadvantaged kids and teenagers – both Jews and Arabs.

The Galilee School, one of Hand in Hand’s two original campuses (along with the Jerusalem school), was founded in 1998 in the kibbutz of Eshbal in the Lower Galilee. It is home to Jews and Arabs alike.

In this video, a founder of the community, whose daughter attends the school, describes its success in fostering coexistence by teaching children at an early age to respect each other’s cultures. He is thrilled to be part of a community that works to make a difference.

Indeed, he expresses the hopes and dreams of most Israelis who long for peace.
