Malawi Becomes First African Nation to Announce Jerusalem Embassy

African country Malawi announced today it is opening a new embassy in Israel’s capital, Jerusalem.

Minister of Foreign Affairs Gabi Ashkenazi held a press conference on Tuesday with Malawi’s Eisenhower Mkaka to declare the opening of his nation’s new embassy in Israel.

Ashkenazi and Mkaka expressed excitement about collaboration between the two nations in the realms of security, counter-terrorism, agriculture, and trade.

Mkaka lauded the “growing partnership and collaboration” between Malawi and Israel.
