WATCH: Maritime Deal With Lebanon Sparks Debate Within Israel

Israeli and Lebanese officials welcomed a U.S.-brokered agreement to demarcate their maritime borders.

Supporters of deal say it preserves Israeli security interests in the Eastern Mediterranean, lowers Iran’s influence on Lebanon, and benefit the Israeli economy.

Critics call the agreement a capitulation to Hezbollah and argue that a caretaker government doesn’t have the authority to make such an agreement.
