In a special address to Jewish students around the world, urging a greater connection to Jerusalem, Minister Bennett stresses not only the ancient ties to the holy city, but its promise for the future.

Yemina party leader Naftali Bennett, then-Minister of Education and Diaspora Affairs, in 2017 released a special video message to Jewish students around the world, stressing the importance that each and every one of them connect to Jerusalem.

For 19 years, between the 1948 War of Independence and the 1967 Six Day War, Jews had no access to the Western Wall, Temple Mount, the Mt. of Olives, the City of David – all of which are holiest to Jews, he explained.

Jerusalem is different from any other city in the world, he states.

In the video below, he states, “Our history and our Destiny are in Jerusalem,” and explains why the holy city is so special to the Jewish People.
