Hundreds gathered in front of the locked gates of Columbia University to show support for Jewish students and to advocate for the release of hostages in Gaza.
Many were holding Israeli flags, but there were also American, Mexican, and Hungarian flags waved by the crowd.
For the past week and a half, anti-Israel protestors have occupied the university’s West lawn and have harassed Jewish students.
