Every September 23rd, India and Israel commemorate the Indian soldiers’ pivotal role in liberating Haifa during WWI.

The Battle of Haifa, a pivotal moment in World War I, witnessed Indian regiments under the British Army playing a crucial role in the liberation of Haifa from Ottoman and German control on September 23, 1918.

Every year on September 23rd, both India and Israel pay tribute to the brave Indian soldiers who made the ultimate sacrifice in this historic battle.

Their memory continues to be a source of inspiration and blessing for generations to come.
