The “Red Heifer,” necessary for ritual purification at the Holy Temple, is discussed in the bible in Numbers 19:1-22.

Rabbi Yitzhak Meir Sabo, a community rabbi in Dallas, was sent by the Jerusalem-based Temple Institute to examine five red heifers located at a Texas farm.

The task is not as simple as it may seem and is based on halachic (Jewish legal) criteria.

The rabbi and farmer Donald Ferrell, who emotionally expressed his gratitude for the State of Israel, discussed the surreal experience with Arutz-7.
