US Senator Tom Cotton confronted a Code Pink protester wearing a (pink) keffiyeh.

Cotton, a Republican senator for Arkansas, noted that the keffiyeh is a “well-known symbol for terrorists.” While the woman insisted that it was “a cultural symbol of…pride,” Cotton added that it had actually been popularized by former PLO leader, arch-terrorist Yasser Arafat “as a symbol of the ‘resistance’ to Israel in its biblical homeland.”

“It’s a terrorist symbol, and you should be ashamed of wearing it,” he concluded.
