It was the fourth deadly attack in two weeks throughout the country, following those in Beersheba, Hadera and B’nei Brak.
The terrorist, identified as 28-year-old Ra’ad Fathi Hazem from Jenin killed two and injured 12 after opening fire on Israelis on Tel Aviv’s busy downtown Dizengoff St. on Thursday night.
He first opened fire on patrons of the Ilka Bar, ran down a side street and continued firing at people.
The two fatalities were identified as childhood friends Tomer Morad and Eytam Magini from Kfar Saba. Responding medics described the scene at the restaurant as “carnage.”
Residents of the Palestinian Authority and Gaza Strip celebrated the attacks, handing out sweets and dancing in the streets.
