The chevra kadisha are the group of people who prep dead bodies for a Jewish burial.

Members of the IDF em>chevra kadisha unit recall thinking it would only be a small amount of bodies. No one could’ve imagined the shocking horrors awaiting them.

Over 1000 corpses lay in trucks waiting to be shipped to cleaning and burial areas.

These selfless individuals dedicate themselves to ensuring that all victims receive a proper Jewish burial, which is a huge comfort to the families who have suffered so much.
