In the president’s annual address before both chambers of Congress, he stressed “creative” solutions for Mideast and hailed the White House’s rejection of past administrations’ “failed approaches.”
“I announced a groundbreaking plan for peace between Israel and the Palestinians. Recognizing that all past attempts have failed, we must be determined and creative in order to stabilize the region,” said President Donald Trump at his State of the Union address on Tuesday.
Trump also reiterated the importance of steps such as eliminating Iranian arch-terrorist Qassem Soleimani and assassinating the leader of ISIS in 2019.
While Trump didn’t mention the Obama, Bush, or Clinton administrations by name, he referenced previous “failed” approaches to the addressing global threats at several points.
