US House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) in an interview with NBC’s “Meet the Press” defended his decision to support a bill that would make aid to Israel a main priority.
Other proposals have made Israel aid dependent on compromise and the inclusion of other funding objectives.
Johnson responded to National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan’s dismissing the House Israel aid Bill as a “ploy” and a “political stunt.”
