Author Rabbi Manis Friedman told Israel’s Tov News station that the only way to settle the question of ownership over the land of Israel is to “answer the question,” clearly and definitively.
“The Muslims are religious people. If you make them aware of what G-d said, they will not only stop fighting, but they will take down the [Dome of the Rock] mosque [built on the site of the Jewish Temple], so that we can build the [Holy Temple].”
He said the Jews must “get up in the UN and say, ‘People, have you read the Bible? It says Isaac inherits.”
According to tradition, Ishmael, Isaac’s older brother, was the spiritual forbear of the Muslims. Yet, despite his status as the elder son of Abraham, G-d chose the descendants of younger brother Isaac – the Jews – as the inheritors of the land.
“Say it with confidence, and everyone will quit” accusing Israel about being “occupiers,” he concluded.
