A new wave of terror? The past several days have seen a significant increase in Palestinian attacks.

Israel experienced three Palestinian terror attacks in the past 24 hours at various locations in Judea and Samaria.

On Tuesday morning, a Palestinian terrorist attempted to ram his car into Israel forces operating in the Palestinian village of Idna, in the Hebron area. The forces fired at the assailant, who subsequently died of his wounds. No Israelis were injured in the attack.

Almost simultaneously, in the Jordan Valley, another terrorist tried ramming his vehicle into Israel forces operating in the Palestinian village of Jiptalik. Israeli forces fired in the air and then arrested the driver, a local resident said to be in his 30s.

On Monday night, Palestinian terrorists fired at an IDF position near the Bir Zeit bridge in western Binyamin. No Israelis were wounded.

Tuesday’s attacks occurred just two days after Palestinian terrorists shot and wounded seven Israelis in a drive-by shooting near the Israeli community of Ofra, including a pregnant 21-year-old whose baby was prematurely delivered by cesarean section after the attack.

The baby remains in critical condition, while the mother’s condition has improved.

Following that attack, Israeli forces launched a manhunt for the terror cell and carried out raids in the Palestinian city of Ramallah, including into the offices of the official Palestinian Wafa news agency.

Palestinian rioters clashed with Israeli troops across the city of Ramallah as security forces scoured the area for the terrorists. Palestinian medics claim that six rioters were wounded.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Monday stated that “abhorrent terrorists tried to murder a mother and the baby in her womb. This is monstrous.”

He noted the Palestinian “cries of joy; I think it is too much to expect a condemnation from the Palestinian Authority. They only contribute to incitement here.”

The prime minister vowed that Israel’s security forces will capture the terrorists. “We will deal with them to the fullest extent of the law and settle accounts with them,” he said.
