Two Palestinian terror attacks – one committed by young boys – occurred in Jerusalem within minutes of each other.

At about 12:30 pm Tuesday, two Palestinian minors, ages 12 and 13, attacked a security guard at a Jerusalem light rail station in the northern Jerusalem neighborhood of Pisgat Ze’ev. One of the boys stabbed him in the back with a knife, Police spokesperson Luba Samri said, according to the Jerusalem Post.

“Passengers took control of the second assailant until the quick arrival of police,” she added.

The victim, 25, is reportedly in moderate condition. He was treated at the scene by Magen David Adom paramedics before being transferred to Shaare Zedek hospital.

One of the terrorists who was neutralized by police is reportedly in moderate-to-serious condition; the other was arrested.

The boys, identified according to Ynet as cousins Moawiyah and Ali Alkam, are residents of the eastern Jerusalem neighborhood of Shuafat, known as a terrorist stronghold. Their uncle is a prominent figure in that community and has been calling for more terror attacks against Jews, Ynet reports.

Just minutes after the light rail attack, a 37-year-old Palestinian terrorist, brandishing a knife, ran towards two security guards at Damascus Gate in the Old City before being shot by police. He died shortly afterwards.
